Characteristics of SaaS

So what would be some Characteristics of Software As a Service, well I’m always here to tell you and keep you entertain with my posts. SaaS is a rapidly growing market as a survey that was taken in recent reports that predict ongoing double digit growth. This rapid growth indicates that SaaS will soon become very common within every organization and businesses, it is important that buyers and users of technology understand what SaaS is and where it is suitable. The following are some of the characteristics of SaaS:

  • Web access to commercial software
  • Software is managed from a central location
  • Software delivered in a “one to many” model
  • Users not required to handle software upgrades and patches
  • Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) allow for integration between
  • different pieces of software.

This is Software As A Service (SaaS).

Where SaaS make sense: Cloud Computing generally, and SaaS in particular, is a rapidly growing method of delivering technology. So that being said, that if there’s any organizations or any business considering a move to Cloud will want to consider which applications they should move to SaaS. There are some solutions for moving to SaaS as following:

  • Applications where there is significant interplay between the organization and the outside world. For example, email newsletter campaign software.
  •  Applications that have a significant need for web or mobile access. An example would be mobile sales management software.
  • Software that is only to be used for a short term need. An example of that would be collaboration software for a specific project
  • Software where demand spikes significantly, for example tax or billing software used once a month.

Some Advantages of Cloud Computing

Cloud Computing fits for anything.

There are lots of advantages to using cloud computing for international companies. One of the major ones is the flexibility that it offers. Cloud computing means that staff can access the files and data that they need even when they’re working remotely and/or outside office hours. As long as you have internet you can access your work documents at any given time; from home, on the road or through Smartphones such as the iPhone, Android or BlackBerry. Cloud computing can be very quick and easy to get up and running, for example;how quickly you can set up a Gmail or Yahoo! account and start emailing – it takes minutes and all you need is a computer and the Internet. Downloading and installing software, on the other hand, takes much longer.

Cloud computing is often cheaper and less labor-intensive for companies too. There is no need to buy and install expensive software because it’s already installed online remotely and you run it from there, not to mention the fact that many cloud computing applications are offered free of charge. With cloud computing, you subscribe to the software, rather than buying it outright. This means that you only need to pay for it when you need it, and it also offers flexibility, in that it can be quickly and easily scaled up and down according to demand.A major advantage of using cloud computing for many companies is that because it’s online, it offers virtually unlimited storage compared to server and hard drive limits. One of the reasons many businesses choose cloud computing is because online storage and back-up means their data can’t be lost or destroyed.

Important things about Cloud Computing!!

So what are some important things about cloud computing?

You may be wondering why cloud computing is becoming popular; here’s why. With cloud computing, users have access to their information through the Web, so it’s accessible from anywhere they need it. It’s also generally less expensive than other solutions;   Cloud Computing offers great solution  to many things, such as universities, research laboratories, the military & the government which utilizes supercomputers to do fantastic jobs to like secure the nation, searching for solutions to medical dilemmas, and analyzing the effects of climate change. This protects the government agencies from dangerous online thieves. Through cloud computing, users are able to perform tasks like analysis of sales data, storing medical information of patients, and managing business ideas. In general, cloud computing includes infrastructure-as-a-service, software-as-a-service, and platform-as-a-service. For a regular business, the computing costs are the same and the service provider often absorbs any upfront costs related to cloud computing.

Cloud computing operating practices and technologies turn support and delivery into a commodity. It offers an alternative to business executives. Those providers of information technology have to step up their profiles and offerings so that they get nearest to their suppliers and customers, and business innovation by providing a new and better capability delivery.

Reasons Behind The Success of SaaS

So you guys might be wondering why Software as a service is so successful? Well there are reasons WHY.

1.Easy Access:

So nowadays everyone has Smart Phones like the iPhone, Android or whatever else you wanna name. A major advantage of SaaS is that, it can easily and quickly be accessed from anywhere with a web browser. This gives users a great ability even when they are at home or in another country. They can access the SaaS applications from Laptops and Smart Phones. So you can basically access SaaS from anywhere as long as you have internet connection or WiFi, it is the easiest way to access SaaS. So guys, don’t miss out!!

2.Vendor’s Responsibility:

SaaS providers are responsible for managing and maintaining both the software and hardware components of the application. The network issues such as data redundancy, data backup and recovery are also planned and managed by the vendors. They upgrade the software on regular intervals. So all of you do not need to worry about anything, you just got to enjoy SaaS.

3.Ownership:

Since SaaS vendors charge a set price for user per month, the firms don’t have to pay extra money for modules they don’t even use. It literally removes the maintenance, end user support, and administration costs of the software. The implementation and customization costs of SaaS are also lower than the traditional software. All this results in a very low total cost of ownership (TCO).

4.Scalability:

Hosted software, another term for SaaS offers you more scalability in using the software. By utilizing SaaS you are free to use as much or as little part of any software as you need. This gives you easy and economical access to many programs.

5.Regular Upgrading:

SaaS Vendors regularly upgrade their software, so that the users don’t have to put any effort into installing and upgrading the applications.

In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.

YouDazzle: Where Cloud Collaboration Meets Network Marketing

What YouDazzle Offers:

YouDazzle offers small businesses with cloud-based collaboration software that includes online file sharing, web meetings and screen sharing into a unified service.   As with other small business cloud collaboration offerings, the goal is to make it easy for people to share, access and store any type of file by any type of device. Some of the interesting differentiators include:

  • Integration with Dropbox to provide customers with branded data rooms and other extras. You can sync desktop files to YouDazzle with Dropbox  and vice versa; instantly share Dropbox files with up to 100 people at once via YouDazzle web meetings; and add comments to  files.
  • Built-in analytics to monitor trends and decision-making processes and provide feedback on deals and projects. You can see who has visited your data rooms, uploaded and downloaded files, provided comments, etc., and  customize how you’re notified about user activity.

Taking Network Marketing to the Cloud:

Marketers believes that cloud solutions for small businesses are a good fit for the model, for several reasons.

  • The cloud has eliminated the need for marketers to install any hardware or software.
  • Unlike network marketing for physical goods, marketers don’t need to invest in inventory (such as the suitcase full of Avon cosmetics).
  • Small business owners look to colleagues, friends and family for guidance on technology solutions (as our research also indicates).
  • Social media is overtaking traditional advertising and marketing.

I think a lot of YouDazzle’s success–or failure–rests on how well it can train its marketers. YouDazzle will not only need to teach them how to sell and implement the solution, but also how to make it most relevant to the different requirements of each small business. It will also need to structure things to ensure that marketers strike the right balance between recruiting new marketers, signing on new customers and supporting existing customers. Finally, it will need to help marketers avoid being pinned with the negative network marketing stereotype, by helping them understand things such as when a situation is appropriate for selling and when its not.
